Diane Ehrensaft, PhD, is a developmental and clinical psychologist and the author of several books and articles on child development, gender, and parenting. For the past 25 years, she has worked with gender-nonconforming children and their families. She is a founding member of BayGap (Bay Area Youth Gender Acceptance Project), a university and community partnership offering health, mental health, educational, legal, and advocacy services to gender-nonconforming children and their families, and is on the board of Gender Spectrum, which provides education and support to families and communities. She lives and works in Oakland, California.
